Signals

An indications, signs, or token, anything indicating an action; to make known or communicate; remarkable; memorable

It can come in many forms - a signal can be a symbol, a dream, a paragraph in a book, a message in a songs, or simply a life circumstance. What are they telling you?

An important memory will be reveals to you. It will indicate a change.

Remarkable energy is available to you. It will be communicated to you through these signals, even in their simplest form.

Look for, and then acknowledge, the signs you've asked for. When they come, don't discount them. Use the signals to validate your choice of action.

Is your body giving you a signal that needs to be taken care of?

Signals are often subtle, increase your sensitivity to whatever is affecting you.

Mine came in many forms and no, i'm not discounting them. I'm appreciating them.

isn't this inspiring?

facebook, IN!

It's facebook's turn to be IN, or should i say, it's cool!

=)

and i adore bumper stickers, some are hilarious and some, undeniably cute like this one!

ARGGGG, the baby's face is soooooo chubby, juz feel like pinching the cheeks!

well I'm sure by now people who knows me well enough knows I can't get enough of babies or toodlers. Just something about them makes my knees weak. I've loved them since i was a child. Some call it maternal instincts but i beg to defer, I mean, seriously, I've adored them since a long time ago and believe me, it was way before puberty.

Anyhow, I've caught a show titled "Becoming Jane" today and it's a certainly MUST WATCH! Okay, very girly, but it makes you realise again how great love is which can make a person go through lengths for it.

A romanticist is Jane, which led her to come up with the books she had written, loved by millions I'm sure cos I'm one of the plentiful.

Movie Plot that I took from Yahoo:

"Jane Austen (Anne Hathaway) believes in love. Her parents (played by Julie Walters and James Cromwell) want her to marry for money, which was the way of the world for a young woman in 1795 England. But when the 20-year-old meets the dashing young Irishman, Tom Lefroy (James McAvoy), his intellect and arrogance ignite Jane's curiosity and send her spinning head-over-heels. Can Jane afford to spurn the offer of Lady Gresham's nephew, defy the authority of her parents and fly in the face of social convention? In "Becoming Jane", a young lady on the cusp of literary greatness risks a romance that was to shape her life and her work."

I can only say, it's classic.

On another topic altogether, having 7 hours of lectures for the weekends is no joke, especially not with a feisty old man who looks like a penguin and his eyes simply filled with pupils. Nope, can't see his white part of the eye, for real, which then leads me to wonder whether he uses the enlarging pupils contacts. hmmmm. that's a thought.

Together

There's been ups and downs in every relationships, mine is of no exception. Though there are times when we're happy, it's undeniable that we have our difficult moments too.

We've grown together and see things in different lights, share different or similar perspectives. Many things have changed since the time we crossed paths, but one thing remains. Love. As comfortable as we feel around one another, a side of which another individual will never see, I've experienced it. Habits, good or bad, I've grown fond of, or simply accept.

Relationships, they are what they are, aren't they?

It's no surprise that i'm head over heels for my sweetheart once again.
Very first year together.

Movies

If you're wondering whether I've been keeping myself savvy with movies, well i've been. thank you for wondering ;)

anyway, i've recently caught vantage point, juno and sky of love.

vantage point being the most recent.

I'm pretty impressed with how different the director have approach to film the whole movie. I must add that people who intend to watch this should forget about the norm and look at it in a whole new light. Definitely worth the money, you get to watch the show 5 times in a row. ;)

the movie plot is as follows:

Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are Secret Service agents assigned to protect President Ashton (William Hurt) at a landmark summit on the global war on terror. When President Ashton is shot moments after his arrival in Spain, chaos ensues. In the crowd is Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), an American tourist video taping the event to show his kids. There is also Rex (Sigourney Weaver) an American TV news producer who is reporting on the conference. We follow each person's perspective of the same 15 minutes before and immediately after the shooting to get to the terrifying truth behind the assassination attempt.

all credits to yahoo webby.

oh and youtube, of course.

Sky of Love was caught before vantage point,

Movie Plot:

Based on a cell-phone novel that moved 11 million people to tears, "Sky of Love" is a story about a regular girl's three stormy years in high school. While her friends are absorbed about their boyfriends, Mika is clueless about falling in love. She begins receiving phone calls from a boy she doesn't know and is gradually drawn to him. She finally meets him but their happy days soon pass as trouble is brewing on the horizon.

Right, I can't find the trailer with english subtitles but it's pretty touching, i didn't expect the ending to be how it ended. I don't really read synopsis for movies, it's the task of sweetheart, no wonder he's never really surprised after watching a movie, he'll just ask me how is it. Well, I like to watch and find out for myself but brook likes to know what he's watching. Prolly something that differentiates us.

Anyhow, though it seemed to be puppy love to me, I would still recommend this movie to whoever that's willing to catch a romantic genre.

Lastly, Juno.

Not really my type of movie, more of darling's. But well, it's funny to a certain extend, though I don't really catch the jokes at some point of time, cos, i didn't think it was funny, but well, yah, I suppose one have to keep your ethical mindset away and just go with the flow of the movie. I like the vocab, shitnanegan. ;)

Movie Plot:
Penned by Diablo Cody, the film's story revolves around Juno, a unique 16-year-old girl. When faced with an unplanned pregnancy, she makes brave call of keeping the baby and finding the "perfect" adoptive parents. In the course of facing some tough decisions, she flirts with adulthood and ultimately comes into her own as a witty and independent teenager.

21.3.08, 22.3.08

It's been a while that we've headed for cheezecake at siglap, dearest have been bugging me. Cos we've been in need of comfort food of late, i decided it's time for another go.

There are so many food blogs out there that i've been going through for months now, though there are times when our weekend seems to full of activities, not much of staying indoors, we've decided we'll do just that this holiday weekend. That's when I find the need and want to bake. I've tried out recipe that i've gotten from one of the food blogger. Not that fantastic to me but it seemed to be for brook. anyhow, i've officially gone through what all bakers have to go through, a disaster.

There were meant to be 12 muffins, i had only gotten 6 to be baked to perfection. The other 6 were ruined cos of the chubby fingers the gloves cast upon me. Yes, much thanks to the "butter fingers" they are ruined.

The pictures were all taken before I dropped the tray thus the happy faces.

Pretty Little Things

There are so many wonderful pretty things on the web that i want to get my hands on! Yes, it may seem oriental but I think that's what i adore.

i've found myself fall for beautiful interior designs, the minute details of curvature, the tinge of pink and teal and, oh so many others.

Quality Time

There's nothing like quality time together now. Havin so much projects to finish up and datelines to meet, baby has been busy all day, all week, and I've been catching up on studying for the coming exams

It's now always quality time that we share and i've suggested for us to catch the Greek/ Roman exhibition that has been going on forever.

it's queer how people use to think in the past, i suppose humans only evolve to be more intelligent, like allowing women to more of equal. arg, i don't think i can live in the ancient times, I'll feel, agitated and prolly be one of those women who gets shun from doing something nasty like, exposing one strand of her hair.

Anyway, below are the pictures we took. It's been a while since we've got our art side goin on, it's refreshing to get started all over again. =)

sweetheart thought the statue had his eyes closed so he followed suit in the 1st pic. lol

sweetie u've got it all wrong, u've got to be in pink, fuchia pink ;)

Last

The final day of studying for prelims felt like it was already over for me. Didn't have the motivation to carry on, i left it entirely for God to decide, which I'm sure will be justifiable. =(

Anyway, lovely shann baked brownies and insisted i try them. Loads of chocolates and less sugar. Healthier, hmm, in a sense? lol, considering dark chocolate is good for complexion?

It's amazing how someone like her is so FULL, literally full of crap! lol, i can laugh till my tummy ache! which also means that studying with her can be fun too. =)

The next day was a day of chilaxing, =) finally time to chilax, though i accompanied her to visit her grand daddy, it was an experience to have myself off town for a while, i mean since that's the only place i know how to frequent. Change of environment by window shopping at Novena Square was different, very different if i may add. The shops seems to be very, very weirdly positioned.

I mean, the supermarket is way to the top level, there's little drinks stalls here and there, and a salon next to the foodcourt, hmm, weird, juz weird. We were wondering whether the architect showed the vendors the structure of the building in a different angle!

oh oh and shann offically had her threading done! an arched brow really does change the look of a person's face. some even said that it's the window to the face, hmm, so true? i don't know about window but, oh well.

on to another topic, sweetheart parents are in town! we juz had dinner a couple of days ago and oh! belle, brook's sis, (obviously) have her little brownie stall opened at the heart of town in BKK! =) her mom brought over to let us try, niceeeeeee, i heard business is doing well, yippie for her! =)

okay though on a VERY unrelated topic, i'm wonderin', why oh why is the weather getting chilly again, hmm.

anyway, baby, if u're reading this,

I LOVE U and happy monthsary! =)

Crappy crap crap

ok, this is weird, it's not that i don't want to update but blogger seems to have something against me posting pictures the whole day today.

anyway i'm addicted to watching one tree hill for now =)

weekends were perfect!

friday was too! will keep u updated soon!

cheerios!

binging here, there, everywhere

it was chilaxing once more when the evening hit after a hard day's studying non-stop. Miss Clarity cafe was dinner , NSLK for second round, (nasi lemak) LOL, baby came up with the abbreviations and then headed down to City Space. We were literally thrown out, no i mean, we threw ourselves out cos he totally forgot to be in smart casual. we were down to earth that day considering it was a Sunday and had no plans to head town other than a chill out space to relax.

So i ended up recommending baby to Cafe Iguana's as he hadn't been there before. It's gigantic margaritas are famous and their nacho are, HOHOHO. =P

so yup

Monday was back to studying mode, day and night. =( brains are fried, literally.

oh and i spotted some cuties at bugis! ahhhH!

one even started humping on another, tsk tsk tsk. no shame.

fun-filled study week

it's been crazy having exams after exams, if there's a meter to check out my stress level, it would have been very noticeable, low during lunch hour, high when books are in sight.

Sweetpea has been very thoughtful, cooking for me Japanese curry while i did the dessert, green tea ice cream. He's been tutoring me as well, which comes in handy when i meant by "he's my everything".

It's so long ago that I've asked his help and it's oblivion that he's grown to be more patient, the thought of him being a lecturer came to mind! wonder where he picked that skill up but it's something about him that i grew to adore. =)

it's been a very "us" week if i must add, watched "Away from her"

it's so touching, i swear if u're angry with your other half, after coming out from the theater, you'll get all teary and simply shrug the matter away.

chilaxed by going spa, on thursday. It was amazing, i slept half way through the massage and the lady ended up waking me up to ask me to turn to my other side.

facial, was no different, slept too. -_- i wonder whether I've been deprived of sleep cos i don't think i actually am! after which, i met up with sweetheart to have tea! =)) this time we had it at raffles hotel, and the scone is pizazzly wonderful!!!

timber on wed night was superb, though it was way crowded, it was well worth the wait for the band playing that night.

Acid bar on Saturday, they had a change in vocalist, though the previous lady was good, i thought this newbie was on par, she could really go deep and musky in tone, pretty amazing for a lady.

so yes, there u have it, a week, filled with fun, study, and more fun. =)

shann been a partner in crime, for studying that is! more to come for the week! AHHHHH!!!
