ah! hang over is fabulously "ugly"!

I officially loathe hangover! I mean I seriously need to:

1) either stop drinking all together
or
2) have a better estimate of how much is TOO much for me.

Because we went to Mortons' after my school today cos sweetheart said their sandwiches are really good. So we headed down there and got a martini each. Mine was lychee's and his, green apple.
We've concluded that the steak there is much nicer than Lawry's and that the atmosphere was superb as well. Yup, so as you can see, there was only a glass that I drank and I ended up really red after a few sips.

Courtesy to the waiter who initiated taking the pics for us after seeing me trying to get a good pic out of my well trained steady hand. =P

So when I reached home after what seemed eternity, I immediately went to bathe and got myself ready to sleep by 10pm. Yup, we went for the Happy Hour at Morton's that's why.
And cos I've been suffering from a terrible headache, that simply drum beat itself through, it couldn't get me completely rested so I woke up at 12am just to get panadol, which made my tummy have weird sound. =( Cos no food was taken together. Sigh, it was a bad bad day. Tried to sleep again and woke up at 2am. Which I stayed awake through out to 6.30 before getting ready for school.

=((

So yes, alcohol, BAD! Especially for me. I just had a glass and I'm totally havin' hangover. It didn't seem to wait for me to sleep before pestering me too! =(( Boo hoo.

Yup, that's one of the reason why I don't club too.
Oh and I can't tolerate the smoke.

I truely, honestly, totally believe it will get me dead way before my time if i keep inhaling as a second hand smoker, so yup. Clubbing? No thanks, not for me.

Tuesday, a well enjoyed hol

With a free day from school on a weekday, I laze around at home and then got ready to meet sweetheart for tea and then dinner with bestie Amanda.

Actually to think about it, it was a pretty depressing day in general because it was raining and there were alot of accidents that happened on the road. Loads of flood around Singapore and thank goodness I was caught in one.

So yup, I headed down to Orchard, Cedele Depot in Borders to meet sweetheart. And I had scone and he had quiche, which was surprisingly good.

Anyway Amanda smsed me to tell me that she quit her job and that she's happy about it since she's been putting up with her job and all. So yup! We eventually met up so we can celebrate! So we went to Cafe Cartel at Raffles to bitch all night long. Hehe. Love catching up, in fact, I'm sure we're gonna meet up much more since we have yet to meet up with Siew Ping and catch up again with Esther.
Loves,
Mel

Till then, smiles =))

60's Fashion is back in town!

Today's none other than Amanda's Birthday so......*drum roll*

Happy Birthday Amanda!!! =))

Anyway I went on to study during the afternoon after class in the morning and then headed down to meet sweetheart to catch a show.

Omg! Hairspray was awesome!

Well, for one I love musicals and 2nd, the main guy character is cute! =) Plus it emphasizes on changing the world to a more conducive environment for everyone to live in, so what's not to love!

The energy through the whole movie is extremely high that I was holding myself back not to dance together with the characters. I bet if this was a live musical, people would have simply stood up and dance! In fact, I would rate this 4.5 out of 5 hairsprays! =))

So in love with all the beautiful dresses they have and the hairstyles! They are classic! Maybe I should start investing on a bottle of hairspray and try out new looks. hehe

Yup, so darling being such a sweetheart told me that he will go and look for the music so that I can listen to them. =)) And yes, his truly enjoyed thorough too. I'm 100% sure that if the live musicals are here, we'll be there. *Nods* We're one couple who truly enjoys musicals. So much so, we've watched almost all the famous ones that came here. And yes, we're looking out for some others that are coming our way.

So that's all peeps. Go catch the movie, i'm sure there'll be no regets. Oh and remember to hold on tight to the seat handle. ;)

Wonderous discovery

Days have been going by smoothly and there wasn't much to blog about other than food recently.

Sweetheart and I have frequent Ikea a few times to check out the new things they sell there. I wouldn't say the designs are fantastic but they do come out with ingenious ideas on how to utilize the place/ space effectively.

Actually I was hopeful to get new lamps for my bedside tables as they are getting pretty old. But yeah, didn't see anything that "wow" me. So I'd figured I should get it else where.

The only thing I adore best at Ikea is their meatballs! =))
Yummy dish! Which was also the reason why we went back there a few days after, haha yup! Just for the food! Plus free car park! LOL A even better deal than else where!

On 22th Aug I celebrated my mommy's birthday! =)) Gave her something really small but, well, it's essential. =)) We ate dinner on Friday though, @ Villa Seafood Galleria@RainTree, Labrador Park

Happy family reunion, sort of. =))

But yup, sweetheart and I did get the cake for her on her birthday itself. Cos the Baker's Inn at Raffles was closed and there wasn't any at PS, sweetheart ended up getting a mango cake, which is surprisingly good. Not diabetic-ally sweet, so yup! Overall I'll give a 7-10.

And on the very next day sweetheart and his family celebrated his dad's birthday. =)) When I first knew that his dad's birthday was a day later than my mom's 4 years ago, I was pretty amazed, I mean, I never really thought that it would be just a day away!

And just yesterday, which was 25th Aug, sweetheart and I decided to engage in light activities. So we headed down to eat the famous katong prawn noodle, very closely located at where CHIJ Katong Convent Pri used to be. *salivate* The best prawn noodle in Singapore and JB! I swear!
Though there's no pic to swear by it, but yup, me thinking about it and salivating is enough said!

After which, we went down to Holland Village to look at the dogs in the pet shop. Uber cute! Which totally reminded me of Jane's puppy. Lucky her! And i was telling sweetheart that I have my own dream dog, who, of cos doesn't poo, pee and grow old. So, yup, his truly totally brushed me off by saying, I can live in my own dream world. =((
But anyway, I don't think I'm anytime ready to get a pet cos I remembered when bolo bun (my roboroski hamster) died, I was already feeling sad for a couple of days. It was not a tame hamster because my hamster's breed is the super sonic speed so, yup, they are hard to tame. Plus, I've tried all sorts of ways, reading forums and all, but it didn't help. -_- She bites me too, but well, she was one hell of a cute hamster.

Anyway, after "dog browsing" we strolled down to Fosters and sat to have tea there. We chose the outdoor sitting arena because the indoor was quite dim and plus it was a lovely weather, though I wouldn't say the surrounding was prefect because of some little construction they had going on.
Yup. So there! After tea for 2 days in a row, 1st in Raffles, I've decided that I'll slot this tea time more often into my schedule. I'm sure it will be a refreshing change, cos I'm lovin' it already!
(some how reminds me of Mac's jingle... -_-")

Princesses outing on 11th Aug, Sat

It's been such a while since we've met up and this time, it's close to a year since we've known each other. With just a month together in Shanghai, going through thick and thin, waking up together to go to work, in a cab, (journey equivalent as Bedok to Jurong), shop together, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together, share part of our life stories together, "work" together, play pranks on other people together.

It's really has been so much fun and sometimes I hope that the internship was much longer. And yup, so again, we had our meetings and this time we went to Crystal Jade to have our much intended sharing of gossips and latest ongoings of our lives.
Being together with princesses always makes me remember I won't be starved to death cos we all eat alot! =)) LOL And yes, it was an extremely fulling meal yet again and it never fails to remind me of all the times we spent eating back in China.

A few more day from now and it'll be a year since we know each other! =))

To princesses who are reading this, I want to let u know that I feel blessed knowing all of u. =))

Back with more pics updates like I've promised!

After releasing of the turtle and water snails into the river, P'Ja had a shot of us using her incredible photo taking skills. And yes, sweetheart's skills isn't all that bad too, oh, or was it P'Ja who adjusted the setting for him first. Hmm, highly possible.

After which, we headed back to his house to relax, pretty view from here don't you think?

Anyway when I went back to Singapore, I met up with besties Amanda aka man and Esther!
Had Ajisen ramen and chit chat loads while waiting for Esther who was somewhat lost in translation. LOL Long story but either way, even though it was a short meet up, I still think that it was a worth it trip, simply to see them one more time. =))

And yup, somehow I've been meaning to bake. So I gathered all the ingredients from supermarket and headed down to sweetheart's place to bake cupcakes! It's been like donkey years since I've baked and mind you, I only baked when I was in KC, during home econs time. So it's kinda like a miracle that I've decided to bake. And when I did bake, it is surprising easy. I suppose electric beater really does comes in handy.

for your info, I only did 2 decoration and that is the one on the right bottom most, single out among the rest and the one beside it on the top picture to the left. Sadly the decoration colored sugar ran out and I couldn't do anymore of the fancy designs so I ended up writing my name. -_- What's most upsetting is that the colored sugar doesn't taste nice, so we end up eating all the ones with MnMs on it and left out the rest with the colored sugar.

Yups, so that's all folks!
Till then, smiles! =))

a frivolous pic in the car, him with his infamous "sushi-like" tongue.

Continuation of the previous blog

There's many other pictures that should have been up here but I've decided that the best few will be up here. =)

Since there's plenty of things that have been going on these few days and I've not been religiously bringing my camera around, I though that I'd hurried up post the few weeks old pics here before I completely ignore it.

So! Anyhow! Back to the days I was at sweetheart's country side house.
As you can see in the pic, I took pic with his grandma, sis and cousin in the club house. And also headed down to pray at the near by temple. And there, we released the turtle and water snails back into the river which supposedly gives us good karma points. And yes, haha I'm into all these but not extensively but I do try to follow the rules and be a good Buddhist.

-_-

Ok I've been trying to upload the pics like forever but there seems to be having some technical difficulties. So when blogger.com comes out with no problems to upload the pics, I'll blog again.

Gotta do my econs h/w. So till then!

Countryside house

After about an hour car ride from BKK, we reached Lampaya, a place where sweetheart's dad grew up and now it's their home too whenever they wanna get away from the city.

So when we reached his house, he saw a little boy who is staying nearby his place who came to play. So sweetheart brought our his mom's yoga ball and started kicking it to the boy who playfully threw back and forth.

All the greenery makes me appreciate the nature more. With clear air to breathe and plenty of activities to do, one will never be bored here. On the bottom most, center pic, is a pic on the tree house. I mean isn't it cool they even have one! =))

The club house that house the karaoke, billiard table and bar counter. And the main house on the right that have all the rooms and kitchen .
So after making and drink cocktail for the night, we, the younger generation headed back to the main house to watch dvds while the older generation sang through the night, 2-3 am in the morning! -_-" And I thought the older people don't have a lot of energy .

Yup, watching tv and admiring my mani and pedi.
Oh and did i mention, their house is full of pics of all 4 of them when they were young.

Left to right:
Belle, Beau, Best, Book

=))

And Brook looks so happy for some reason, looks like he's bullying Best. LOL

Fire Fire

I've forgotten to update a video that I've taken back in Phi Phi Island while having our sit and drink session at a really cool pub one night. They had a fire "play" and I thought I share it with all of you.

Enjoy.
=)

Laziness has gotten over me

OMG! There's so much that happened yet I've yet to mention it! Well first of all, I met up with Amanda and Esther right after I got back from thailand, and then there's P'Ja and Plot who are Brook's cousins. They came here for a few days for holiday and yup! No surprises there, we brought them for food tour, downtown, china town to get the famous Lim Chee Guan and also Little India. Which they didn't think there was any thing interesting. lol Oh well, either way they were here during National day too! =)) And yup! I sure did wear red and white. =P You know to show my patriotic-ness.

So anyway, back to the pics I've to upload. So first of! The Persians cat that roams around Phi Phi Island! I swear cuteness is its name!

And yes! the ruins that remain in Phi Phi Island after tsunami.
See the distance between "town" in Phi Phi Island and the beach? =))
Haha and yes, we too got "friendship band" cos it's the fashion there! Everyone was walking around with it and it seem so cool! So I decided to get it before heading back to Krabi. See the hand with 3 of it on? It's my hand! The other hand is P'Jub! =) Another cousin of Brook's and yup! U sure can tell the difference of many and a few just by that pic!
And then back we went to Krabi, but only after 1.5 hours in the ferry, freezing our butt off.
So when we went back to Krabi, we headed to find a good hotel, that is, without noise in the night, good lighting, good bathroom, air-conditioned and every other luxury they can throw in.

So we had it! Ban Ao Nang Resort !
The spacious room with tv, fridge, they even provide slipper as well as room slipper, good toliet etc. I tell you! I could have easily cried with happiness. After the 2 nights in Phi Phi Island room, I never would have thought I'd survived. Not that it's that bad, but I suppose Singaporeans like me, never had to sleep in that kinda condition. =( Maybe it's a good thing I went to experience it then, so I can be thankful for all the simply things that are taken advantage of.
And so after we checked in, we went to have our fill with Italian food.
Below is Brook and his cousin P'Ja. Smiling away because we have good food and accommodation for the night!
After food, we had our regular sit and drink session. And this time it's at a bar with a great atmosphere. If you can see it clearly, we were siting inside a little hut.
The next early morning, we headed out for the tour we've gotten ourselves. Going around the nearby islands again, and one of them is call "Chicken Island" , it's pretty obvious why they call it that. It can b seen at the pic below, the top left corner and the center pic.

The pic next to the one with me and the Chicken Island is roti prata! But they eat it with condense milk and sugar, ate as a dessert instead of a main meal like us. It's, SUPER YUMMY. In my opinion, the crispier it is, the nicer it is to me! I swear I can eat the whole piece by myself! And the pics at the bottom of the "poster" is the trip back to the airport from the beach. We took a kind of "mini lorry". Tell me about "there's always first time is everything".

So there, the end of Krabi trip. The next time round of pics will be sweetheart's country side house.
