How cool is it to have your birthday falling on Halloween? And lucky Jenny is one of them! =))
I bet Zhenni had many surprises on her birthday, everyone theming it to be halloween. To think about it, i genuinely thought it was a good idea to scare her, but then again, on looking back, i realised many people might have done the same to her through the years.
Boo, both birthdays didn't really seem to surprise both of them, that is Shann and Zhenni.
But anyway, we finally had our meeting before class starts. We're actually a study group for Sociology! haha but this is our first time meeting up n nope, not to study, it's to head for max brenners instead! lol seems like everyone is getting my craving! passing it on like a virus aren't i! =P
us having our heavenly drink! i swear everyone was high once we took a sip! oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh, and our fondue! oh and btw, i've negotiated a place for myself in heaven, since i've been there so many times, i had the luxury to bribe my way through. you know, for when i'm really dead. lol =P our dearest zhenni having her dark chocolate cake. haha we play this hand game to finish up the rest of the remaining cake cos everyone was so full from cocoa! though i doubt it surprised the birthday babe, i was pretty sure she didn't see the next surprise coming up for her! YUP! SCREAM MASK! hahaha Shann was wearing the mask trying to scare Zhenni when we reached back school, LATE. But haha yes, we were in the toliet, cubicles in fact, when Shann wore the mask and tried to scare Zhenni when she came out of the toliet.
the funny part was when shann was saying it out loud to us that (word for word)
"cannot breathe properly!"
it was hilarious for me lah! and i laughed non-stop and at the same time, i tried to control myself cos i was still in the cubicle!

in the end Zhenni wasn't all that shocked cos it wasn't "in the face" kinda scare. haha but anyway the mask was for her. lol so she'll probably go around scaring people for the next few years on her birthday. lol
so don't say i didnt warn u! lol watch out! =P

Did i mention they have a romantic feel there? =) and flowers on display every time, you might even "kop" it home if you're daring enough. lol =P
right, so he was copying my "pose" without a flower. hmm, there was once a taxi driver told us that we have the couple look, you know, fu qi xiang. and i totally disagree! -_-" me looking like a guy!?! hmmm ok, maybe he didn't mean that, but me looking like him with big mouth and small eyes?!
It's a very dessert period for me now, craving for sweet stuffs such as chocolates, cookies, cakes, toffees. So much so i wake up in e morning, munching on toffee when I've yet to brush my teeth.
Yup, now I'm craving for anything sweet.
Which reminds me that i might have diabetes, hypertension and whatever chronic illness that might befall on me when i'm much older. But crap, i suppose i live for the moment, eat whatever i want and worry later. Or probably exercise too. hmmm another option to divert the illnesses away. well, that's something to think about.
anyway the weekends was pretty much the same. this time i went for the unifem garage sale again but it was all the left overs that were not sold the previous time at velvet underground. basically, it was a fail attempt on brook's side, wanting to grab anything else nice that they had.
it left us pretty bumped afterwards cos we didn't know what to do the whole time in town since we went there at 10+am. Talk about being Singaporean, oh and f.y.i., it was brook's idea, going there early, this is. lol this was taken at Marmalade Pantry, the date dessert is SUPERB! arg. yup that was our breakfast-dessert. oh and the flower? it's my fav. =)) though i have yet to learn what is it's name. =)) and that's us acting silly in the morning, oh and btw, beau is much younger. yes and she keeps rubbing it in on brook and i. -_-"
anyway, we ended up staying in town till 9+pm which was pretty amazing considering we didn't catch any movies.
so the next day was more of a relaxed sunday for us. grogery shopped at siglap for beau's shopping list so she'll bake =)) and yup, we eat. lolafter which we headed for the CHEESECAKE CAFE! =)) yup, again!
Wednesday was a day to surprise Shann, my sociology classmate cos on Thursday (25th) was her birthday!
Although I was suppose to get my butt down to school by 2pm, I ended up being a tad late for class which started at 3.30 to get her a slice of cake from Coffee Bean! =))
It's such a shame we weren't able to go down to max brenner for some good ol' chocolates cos Shann said she felt guilty from her buffet on the previous night. lol well, but with a little lovin' from we girls, we ended up gettin her a cake whether she liked it or not! =P
It was meant to surprise her a great deal as we had a plan in mind to get Shann to toliet before the break so that the whole lecture would be able to sing her the universal song but Shann insisted that she wasn't urgent!

yup, so there goes our ingenious plan. to add on the tickle, as pei ling had no idea what we were up to for shann, she volunteered to go the ladies with me, which i didn't go in e end, lol
Zhenni and i decided that the 3 of us would then share the lovin' time among ourselves which still left Shann pretty much speechless. =))
oh and the video clip i've posted here is just for laugh, Qing Qing emailed me this and it really did crack me up, so enjoy! =))
After a long long day in school brook and i headed down to Paragon for tea! =))

And so we discovered yet another new place. The cafe infront of sushi teh in Paragon and apparently their specialty is sandwiches! It's insanely awesome! and it's at Caffe Beviamo!
the date dessert is fabulously irresistible, just be looking at it don't you think!??!
and we ordered a few sandwiches and they're all cream of the crop if u ask me!
=)) and then we headed to get supper after the afternoon tea was digested. lol yes, we eat at the weirdest hour.
And so Princesses and I headed down to Orchard Taka to get pressie for Linda. haha it was a lucky thing we didn't bump into her cos Linda was there with her BF and we lied to her about Jane not being able to come cos she wasn't invited by her in the first place! LOL

So yes, we went to Shangri-La to celebrate P. Linda's birthday and I was truly amazed by the huge size tiffany and co birthday cake! lol. I mean i saw the cakes in pics and all. like in really extravagant designs like in jimmy choo shoes and whatever nots u can think of, but this time i'm seeing for real, like u know. can touch it, there and then! lol and of cos eat it lah.

haha cos 3 of us, myself, weimei and jane was using e cubicle and weimei sayed that luckily linda is not tall enough to peep into our cubicle when linda was trying to disturb us with the translucent door that they have in the toliet.
so yes, linda found a stool or some sort and stood on it to peep into each one of our cubicle and i was sitting on it at that time! LOL
well, lucky for her, i was changing my pad or anything or else, something bad might happen for the poor 21 year old girl. LOL

It was a fun packed day all in all, glad she's happy and well, it truly reminds me again that one only need good friends and family around to be a happy happy person. People who are willing to tolerate the rebellious you, guide you through the maze in life and celebrate when there's something to be happy about.
That truly makes anyone a happy person, or at least that's what i think. =)
And yes people, i hear your complains, why mel isn't blogging as much as usual, haha well i'm plain lazy. =P but i will put in more effort. =))

Crap, ya i know. But anyhow! =)) I had a good weekend. Full of activities and all.
Well, I first of all, i had an impromptu meeting with Huishan cos the miniskirt queen (cos she told me she owns alot of them :P) was bored so she sms-ed to meet up in town! Which i did eventually despite the heavy traffic and the pouring rain.
It was a fruitful afternoon actually, finding out loads of similarities that we share. Laughing about it and bitching how life could have been easier. lol. yes, girls talk. well, i wouldn't go into the details but i'm glad to have found a friend whom i can click really well in school. AND SHIT! I forgot to bring my cammie along that day, so nope ppl, no pics of her yet. lol so huishan, if you're reading this, haha go and practice smiling in the mirror cos that's what im gonna do the next time round! =P
Well, second up! I met up with Qing Qing on Sat for a fashion show at Vivo City! =)) It's a fashion show displaying all graduates of the design schools. So yup, the winner of the fashion show will win an internship with Topshop, or something along the line and i've got to say im impressed!
then again, you know pretty models give an edge to the clothes as well, so haha. yup. it's definitely a girls' thing to do together cos we can go gaga over them. =P

so anyway, i didn't get anything in the end. but brook had a whole lot of fun buying loads of branded stuffs he can find. Gucci, Fendi, Zegna, whatever not. -_-

I went on a date yet again with Brook, this time, it's not just any normal date. =) It's our 4.5 years and yes, I'm truly blessed to have found him.
Some people who have to search all their life looking for that someone special and yet I've found him since, well, 4.5 years ago.

he's become someone who's truly important. Not just a boyfriend, but also a best friend; confidant and yet we have yet to discover more about each other. There are times when I'm surprised by his actions. Like how i always assumed he will never genuinely surprise me cos i thought of all the awe surprises plot back when I was really young and yet, he did.
i do agree that at times when you're in a relationship for too long, you tend to take for granted that things are meant to happen. like how the calls are to be made at night before we sleep, the msges we send in the morning to each other, etc.
that's why we still shower each other with occasional surprises. ok, on my side at least, and though he don't do that as often, i still appreciate the fact that he takes time off from him busy schedule to meet me for dinner. though i can shamelessly admit that i use to squabble over it.
yup, i've grown to be a more understanding mel. =)
i suppose this is what we all learn in relationships. the act of patience. lol =))
anyway, because he was having a hectic day, we had to resort to having a quick meal near his school before him rushing back to get his project done. so no, no overrated meals at a fancy restaurant, just something simple from Cafe Cartel.
and yup, T & C ring. =) a mark of our 4. 5 years. lol and yet i've yet to get him something he wants.
A week has zoomed past so fast that I'd just realized! Not that my schedule have been packed but there's just too little time to blog cos I'm always notified on the last min that I'm wanted, somewhere. Anywhere.
So yup. I've been out a lot but not excessively though I've been towning quite a bit for dinner. One such night is when i met up with brook at raffles city! I was craving for the fish and chips that the princesses and i had when we last met up so, yup, we headed there and now i know! It's called "Seasons Reasons" Yup so all the foodie out there who only look at my blog when you're hungry, well, go ahead and munch your way through ! ;)
We had our favorite Thai Express dishes the next day, though i had to squeeze in time for him even though it was a day out with my parents. hehe and the bargain? Max Brenner! =) yup again! LOL I think this is the next phrase of my craving, seriously, when I'm crazy about it, i go on forever till i'm sick of it. like how it was for grapes, ice kachang, durian, soya bean curd, soursop. Crap! the list is longer than i thought and this are just a few to name! the pic below? it's The cookie museum's cookie!
